Violin

Violin lessons are offered to students of all ages and levels through the traditional method, the Suzuki method, or a blend of the two. The lessons start with fundamentals including learning the parts of the instrument and proper finger placement and bow hold. More experienced students progress by learning theory, ear training, sight reading and music history. These elements allow them to develop a significant repertoire utilizing advanced techniques.

Five reasons why students should learn to play the violin:

  1. The violin is an important orchestral instrument.
  2. Versatility – violin students have countless options of what kind of music they can play and what other musicians they can play with.
  3. Violin students learn discipline and patience.
  4. The violin teaches students self-confidence through talent-building and performance.
  5. Playing the violin builds relationships.
